Well, as the election draws nigh – only 45 days till we dump the Dalton Gang, if everybody's been paying attention – it's time to post the results of a completely unscientific poll taken by dog blog readers.

Don't let the small sample size fool you – I've found with past polls that once you have around 20 responses, the results don't change to any marked degree.

Candidates in the upcoming election would be well advised to stop ignoring the Dog Vote, since surveys show that over 43% of Ontario households have at least one dog.

In the next provincial election I will vote for:

Selection
Votes
A candidate who opposes BSL  98% 92
A candidate who thinks BSL is a non-issue  0% 0
A candidate who is in favour of BSL  0% 0
I am too lazy to vote, let alone question candidates  2% 2
94 votes total

I would cross party lines in an election to save my dog

Selection
Votes
Yes  98% 89
No  1% 1
Maybe  1% 1
91 votes total

This one's just getting off the ground but – well, you get the idea.

If Ontario's provincial election were held today, I would vote:

Selection
Votes
Liberal  0% 0
Progressive Conservative  100% 12
New Democratic Party  0% 0
Other  0% 0
12 votes total

DOG OWNERS DON'T LET OTHER DOG OWNERS

VOTE LIBERAL!

KISS THE DALTON GANG GOODBYE ON OCTOBER 10!
