The following tables are summarized from tables found at Elections Ontario showing the results from the 2003 provincial election.
Each riding (district) is listed on one line, showing the elected political party with its percentage of the total vote, the next closest party with its percentage, and the difference between the two.
The first table (by Percent) lists all the ridings beginning with those that were most closely contested in 2003.
The second table (by District) lists all the ridings in alphabetical order. This table is provided simply for ease of finding a specific riding.
There have been a lot of changes to the ridings for 2007 to align with federal districts. In fact, only 23 of the ridings remain unchanged. There are now 107 ridings instead of 103. Fortunately, Elections Ontario has provided the 2003 results using the 2007 districts, so the tables below represent the current districts.
There are a few ridings that had by-elections between 2003 and 2007 due to retirement of existing MPP's, but the turnout was low for these and only a couple of them resulted in changes to the winning party. If you would like to see these, go to the Elections Ontario Past Elections Results page.
You can find your electoral district by searching for your postal code on the Elections Ontario Search page.
The top 38 districts by Percent are districts where the percentages of the winning party and the next closest were within 10%, meaning that there is a serious possibility of changes in that district. It is through these ridings that the dog owners' votes can make a huge difference in the outcome of the entire election.
