Baby Killed By The Family Pet.
For those who wish to take a trip down memory horror lane, and read Peter Worthington's article in the Toronto Sun (Wednesday July 5, 2007). Worthington has written many articles on the, so called benign, Jack Russell.
In Worthington's article (May 18, 2007) his spouting of non-factual information into a cauldron of bias opinion produced this quote;
“So who is likely to own these dogs that Attorney General Michael Bryant has called a “menace,” “dangerous” and “a loaded weapon waiting to go off”?”
“Drug dealers seem to like them for protection, as do people who live in risky areas. Others like the idea of a “pet” that intimidates others.”
“It's not the fault of pit bulls that they are what they are. They are guard dogs, weapons, not house pets like Tricky-woo, Spot or Lassie.”
Hmmmm, let's see here… Caveat has a great archived post which sums up the intelligence of our Mr. Worthington (on the subject of dogs anyway).
Read em' and weep.. I never post articles or information regarding the tragedies of others without reiterating my thoughts of compassion for those who have suffered loss.
I do bring to attention, those who like to spout falsehoods in the name of fact, and target innocent animals (regardless of breed) in the hands of negligent or irresponsible owners.
The real question of the day is:
WHEN ARE PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENTS GOING TO WAKE UP AND STOP TARGETING AND BANNING BREEDS OF DOGS, WHICH LEGISLATES RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS INTO SECOND CLASS CITIZENS?
