PINCH ME, I MUST BE DREAMING

I was reading an update article in today's Mississauga News. The thought went through my head, how foreign it feels to read articles that actually give correct information when referring to Ontario's shamed 'pit bull' ban.  I know, I keep going on about the accurate reporting at Mississauga News, but really… someone please pinch me! I must be dreaming..

Today's article, entitled “Fight for Rambo, Dog Owner Urges”, reports Marylin Cameron's encouragement to keep fighting for Rambo's life. Marylin and Willard Cameron fought Guysborough County, NS and won! The Cameron's win set a precedence in a municipal case. Guysborough County has had a ban on 'pitbulls' since the mid 1990's. The tide is turning and it`s about time.
Every owner should fight for their dog.
Take out a loan if you must.
    People borrow for cars,stereos,houses,education etc.
This is a living breathing animal.
It`s worth a hell of lot more than material crap.
And forget the crap that the Gov`t has been feeding you.
Mixed breed dogs born after Nov 30,2005 are NOT illegal!
If they`re here, they have a right to exist.
Tell McGuinty et al to SHOVE IT!
    and remember
Get your Provincial designation BEFORE purchasing a Municipal license.
If they want to play stupid and judge dogs by looks, then make them earn their salaries.

    Mac,
Could you explain Provincial designation. I agree with you, people need to finally stand up and be very noisy and generous with funds to help us pay for the legal challenge. If every person affected by this piece of crap gave us 10.00 we would have paid for this challenge over and over.. I don't understand how people are not giving? Where are all the owners, vets, trainers, or anyone else affected by this? Certainly, some have given to the challenge, but not near enough. Judging how difficult it has been to keep the ball rolling in raising monies for the challenge, only a handful of people have gone to the wall! I don't get it..
